RENFORTH - Defending, champion Kennebecasis Rowing Club continued their mastery over the field at the 10th annual Renforth Regatta here Saturday racking up a team total of 56 points to cruise in comfortably ahead of Dartmouth North Star Club, who had 36.

It marked the ninth time in the 10-year- history of the event that the hosts have won the Regatta.

It was the brothers Flood - Henry and Brian - who led the way yesterday. The brothers teamed up to win the men's straight pair event in four minutes and two seconds over the 1,000 metre course, comfortably ahead of a pair of North Star boaters. They tearned up with John Allan and Rick Cassidy in the men's straight four to win a narrow one second victory - 3:43 - and the accompanying Renforth Cup over Micmac Rowing Club of Dartmouth. And the same four-man team paddled to the men's cox four crown in 3.38 - four seconds better than the crew from Micmac.

Kennebecasis' eight-man crew also took the Ontario Cup in a time of 3:16 over North Star. Kennebecasis also took the women's straight pair title in 4:13 over a pair of teams from the Fredericton Rowing Club and the women's eight in 3:59.

The domination by the host crews left only the Youth four crown - which went to Fredericton in 4:04, six seconds up on the Kennebecasis boaters.

North Star boaters took titles in the men's singles in the mixed eight event. Bob Prince took the men's singles in 3:53 - four seconds better than Rick Cassidy in Kennebecasis colors, while the North Star eight toured the 500 metre course in 1:40.
