258 Contestants Entered for Various Events.

ST. CATHARINES, Ont., July 26 - Oarsmen from Canada and the United States are arriving on every train to compete in the Canadian Association of Amateur Oarsmen regattas on Friday and Saturday, at which the Canadian championships are decided over the Royal Canadian Henley course.

In all 258 contestants are entered. Morning racing for some of the preliminaries will be necessary on Friday, and at the annual meeting, which will take place on Saturday, the question of extending the meet to three days will be discussed.
